Homemade Taco Seasoning

Why buy expensive packets every time you make taco filling? Here is a simple recipe for your own homemade seasoning.

Makes about 12 oz of seasoning.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tbsp chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp cilantro flakes
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ground red chili (New Mexican, Californian, or cayenne)
  • 1 tsp Mexican oregano

Directions:

  1. In a pint jar with a tight fitting lid, blend all of the ingredients well, and store in a cool, dark place.
